Butch Bradley is resident headliner of our 10PM show, Thursday-Monday’s every week at the L.A. Comedy Club inside The Strat on the World Famous Las Vegas Strip. Voted Best Comedian two years in a row by locals in Las Vegas-Review Journal, this is a show you don’t want to miss. Butch Bradley is one of the most popular stand-up comics on today’s comedy circuit. A veteran of The Laugh Factory, The Improv, The Comedy Store, The Tropicana Comedy Stop, The Comedy Connection, and Comic Strip NYC, Butch’s extensive experience has earned him opening spots for comics such as Ray Romano, Lewis Black, and Cathy Ladman. The World Series of Comedy is a stand-up comedy event for comedians of all levels. It starts with weeklong satellite contests all around the U.S. and Canada throughout the year, culminating in a comedy festival we call The Main Event, here at the L.A. Comedy Club. The festival includes 101 qualifying comedians competing in The Main Event, as well as an entire week of comedy seminars and social and networking events for comics, comedy club managers and bookers from the U.S. and Canada. The WSOC comedy festival since 2010, is quickly becoming one of the best and biggest comedy festivals in the nation. The event helps comics obtain more contacts and get more gigs by creating a setting where both comedians and decision makers mingle throughout the events. The World Series of Comedy was first held in Pittsburgh, PA, in 2003 at a local comedy club. In 2004, a second contest was run at the request of the owner of the comedy club. President & CEO, Joe Lowers, knew he was onto something, and after he and his family moved to Las Vegas with visions of producing his own show, he began to lay out the plans for a yearly festival modeled after the one he created in Pennsylvania. “I worked on the idea of the festival every year writing it out, working out the bugs and in 2010 it happened”, said Lowers. The resulting festival has been described as a contest, a festival, and a job fair. All are true. Comedy club owners and comedy bookers serve as the judges of the contests, instructors in classes and panelists in discussions. Social events for both performers and producers are scheduled and provide a relaxed setting for talking shop. Perhaps the most valuable event is the annual Meet & Greet held during The Main Event. Here, comedians can visit the booths of comedy clubs from all over North America, distribute their information and discuss prospective employment. The World Series of Comedy panel of judges will watch over 500 videos of comics just in preparation for the preliminary Satellite contests held in the first six months of the year. Forty comics will be picked to compete at each Satellite location and the top 101 comics selected from all of the videos will go to The Main Event. Because the festival provides a week long job fair for comedians and club management, it’s not surprising that the prizes for the winners of The Main Event are employment. Over 70 weeks of paid stand-up comedy performance work provided by participating clubs will be awarded to the first, second, and third place finalists. First Place will also get a CD recording deal with Uproar Entertainment. While the competition itself has the most sex appeal, perhaps more gratifying, says Joe Lowers, President & CEO of The World Series of Comedy, is “seeing the comics who didn’t win still end up getting work because they were seen or got to meet the right people.”

K-von is the most famous half-Persian comedian in the world. He is also the only one! The star of MTV’s hit show “Disaster Date”, his comedy has received rave reviews on NBC’s ‘Last Comic Standing’, NETFLIX, SHOWTIME, CNN’s “HLN”, Good Morning America, BBC, & NPR to name a few. K-von has garnered millions of views online with sketches, standup comedy clips, and a viral ‘TED Talk’. He also produced an award-winning documentary about Persian New Year, and can check out his book titled “Once you go Persian,” which details his unique upbringing, journey into comedy, and unsolicited advice. Stand-up has taken K-von around the world several times performing in comedy clubs, theaters, colleges, and for large non-profit organizations. His style is versatile yet relatable with fun storytelling and high-energy performances about a variety of mainstream topics.

Rising star Jimmy McMurrin personifies the bright lights of his hometown Las Vegas, NV. Having always had a knack for making people laugh, Jimmy began performing in 2017 and would quickly climb the ranks making his National TV debut in 2020 on Season 2 of ‘Funny AF’ and taping for Season 4 of Laugh After Dark on Amazon Prime this year. A talented and charismatic performer, Jimmy brings a refreshingly original style and flair to the stage with his daring observational comedy and hypnotizing cadence. Encourage to remove himself from a highly successful career in radio and the music business, Byron Kennedy’s comedy trajectory has taken him from open mic nights, to featuring in Las Vegas, and now headlining. And the explanation for his fast start is exceedingly simple: “I f#*king hate meetings.”

Declared the “Leonardo DaVinci of Radio” by broadcast legend Howard Stern for naming an upstart radio station “Howard 93-7”, Kennedy built an impressive resume at a CBS Radio and later, a top Nashville record label. Happily, it made him miserable. “I kept getting promoted into executive roles and felt like an impostor”, he says. Dragged onstage at an open mic night, he heard his calling. “I did two shots, told a few stories and got some laughs. Then we went out and celebrated like I’d just killed it on The Tonight Show. The next morning, I was certain this was all I wanted to do.

Kennedy’s irreverent, observational style and natural storytelling flair gelled quickly. “When I started leaning into this thing, doors just started to open”, he says. “I can’t explain it. And when you land that first laugh, there’s no turning back”. He just filmed his first Comedy Special set to be released soon.

Originally from Cheyenne Wyoming, Brandt Tobler is a stand up comedian, author, and actor. Currently living in Denver, Brandt has toured overseas performing for our troops, and has been featured on Comedy Central, Fox, and ESPN. He has recorded two CD’s “Token White Boy” and “Ramblin’ and Gamblin” and is currently the host of the award winning podcast “The 31”. Brandt’s best selling memoir “Free Roll” was released in the summer of 2017.

Growing up, Willie Fratto Farrell confesses he wasn’t the class clown. “I played baseball, basketball, sports,” he said. “What I probably was closer to was the guy who would encourage others who were nuts enough to do crazy things, you know, things that would be funny.” In 1980, Farrell stepped up to the mic to try out his funny business at the Ingersoll Dinner Theater in Des Moines. “There were 10 comics on the bill and the first five or six were being heckled really bad by one guy,” he said. “By the time I got up there, it was just like being in Columbus Park. I ripped him a new one and the crowd went wild for me.” It was such an adrenaline rush that Farrell decided to make standup his profession. He grew up, the youngest of five kids, whose father was organized crime figure Lew Fratto, who at one time worked for Al Capone. “I didn’t understand exactly what my father was all about,” he said. “One thing I’ll say is that we never waited in lines anywhere. In my act I’m not ashamed to hit on all nationalities. I’ll do a bit in which the tag line is ‘Get in the trunk.’ I talk about the camp I attended as a kid—La Cosa Nostra.” Farrell has performed in nearly every comedy club in the country, but now spends most of the year onstage in Las Vegas and Atlantic City. Willie turns each show into a memorable event with his unique humor, tailor-made for each audience. Willie has appeared on A&E, Comedy Central, ESPN and was featured on “The Godfathers of Comedy” airing on Showtime.
